Sizzler @ Suntec

As the sisters already know, I love Sizzler, though not for their supposedly well-known steak. It's their salad bar I'm crazy over. And the bread. Simply divine.

Anyhow, today I had their set lunch, which was quite worth the price -- a main (out of a variety of choices, which is good), a complementary drink, and all-you-can-eat access to the salad bar, which apart from having a wide variety of veggies and salad dressings, also includes soup, chips, pasta, fruits, and ice-cream.

I chose the Sirloin Steak with Mushroom Sauce as a main, medium done. It was all right, I supposed, but nothing to rave about. Served with fries.

The BREAD, however, still tasted as great as before. I wonder how they prepared it. There was definitely butter, and I suspect some cheese, and it's simply so good -- nicely toasted (and served hot and crispy!) and aesthetically pleasing.

I tried their Chicken Noodle Soup which is basically a cream of chicken with potatoes and bits of noodle-pasta. I think its taste is above average.

Then I headed to the very loved salad bar and whipped up a plate full of crispy roman lettuce and cheery tomatoes, topped with corn and bacon bits. I drizzled the salad with the special in-house sesame vinaigrette and added a dash of lemon. Soooooo goooooood. I love the salad to bits. The veggie were fresh, and when tossed with bacon bits and corn gave it a heavy favour such that the salad would not be too bland. I personally love the sesame vinaigrette because it's fragrant and gave the salad a tangy taste. Like I said, very gooooood. Next time I head to Sizzler, I might just pay for the access to the salad bar because clearly I favour that over their main courses. And given the sheer amount made available at the salad bar, it will be no less than sinful indulgence. So much to eat, not scare never eat enough. :D

Ice-cream was shared with Hannah. Share the guilt mah. And the ice-cream was surprisingly good. Usually I wouldn't bother getting the ice-cream because ice-cream is just ... well, that. But the one served at Sizzler is soft and not too sweet. I like.

All in all, it's a very pleasant experience eating at Sizzler. The staff was very attentive, and the food was served super fast. We had just finished our soup and bread, after which I went for the salad, and when I returned the food was already there on the table! Hannah came in late, and even though we'd placed food orders for her, I did not order her drink. I was expecting to have to get a waiter's attention to place her order, but the waiter came by himself because he knew that there's still one complementary drink yet to be served at our table. That's how good the service was.

Sizzler @ Suntec, definitely one of my favourite restaurants.
