yay! finally...i remembered to take pics of the most popular SHMS food outlet! but before i start, may i proclaim that THE CLEMENTINE SEASON IS FINALLY HERE!!!!it's my favourite winter fruit...then again, it's a tad sour this time. maybe coz' too earlie in the season=P but still..YAY!!!


now for the real deal.

my exam drink aka 冬瓜茶 aka favourite drink @ beijing town. it's CHF3.50 for a can...IMAGINE THAT!! if only STUPID DHL allowed mum to send the lil packs to me. -angry- but anyways...luckily i can get it here. cannot imagine drinking coke and tap water all day long.

Crabmeat and Asparagus soup. well...it looks more like 蛋花羹...but it's my favourite soup at the restaurant. add vinegar and pepper and voila! yummy thing tt fills ur stomach quite a bit...den u eat order less for main course=)



this..is...not something i'd order. Beignets des moules- mussels dipped in curry batter and deep fried. tried it before but..tastes more of batter than anything else. so...i'd rather order that HUGE spring roll (which i will in due time and show u guys) than to take this.





MY MAIN COURSE!! Fried vermicelli Singapore-style=) oh! before i go on...one more starter to introduce. see the bowl of soup in the background of tt pic with the beehoon? that's another one of my favs - wan-tan soup! it's a tad salty...but then again, maybe i'm used to mummy's low-salt cooking. a few strands of lettuce, 3 small lil wan tan's swimming in a lil bowl of chicken-stock broth...it's pathetic but i still think it's quite nice. ok...as u can see, the beehoon looks like something ur mummies can cook at home. well yes! but then again, the portion is quite big so i'm not complaining. flavouring is quite alright too...onli thing will be the amt of oil used to cook this thing.

see the long beans? so nice right...sparkling and all. it's juz OILY. but yah...all the veg is liddat. even my regular sambal kangkong shines. ew. hahaha...oh! and tt thing on the right...it's the MOST WRONG dish i can ever think of. PORK IN GREEN CURRY! it's nice...but still think curry and chicken goes together the best. and yixin got a bad tummyache after tt curry...i think i did too...so...-nods- betta dun order again...i dun think i've ever ordered curry @ beijing town though. no...tt was yixin's order...not mine. oh! din take a pic of the thai fried rice. nxt time i guess...so u see...3 gals attempted to finish a plate of beehoon, a plate of fried rice, a plate of veg, a "pot" of curry, 2 bowls of soup and a plate of deep-fried mussels in batter. mmmmm........no wonder i always put on weight when i'm in switz. argh!!!

Restaurant Au Parc

amidst my horrendously busy schedule (yes...exaggeration), i managed to make my way down to this lovely restaurant last nite for dinner. well actually, it was my fren's bday and we din want her to turn 21 without at least a dinner betta than the chicken nuggets in school. anyways, back to the food. my all-time favourite appetiser - Bruschetta "something-something" i cannot remember the full name. it's basically tomatoes mixed with some herbs and placed on toasted home-made garlic bread. yummilicious=)

my main course. al dente linguini with seafood. check out tt lobster looking prawn. haha...it tastes like crayfish btw. pasta was a tad too hard for my liking...so i din finish everything. not the best i've had...think i shld have stuck to carbonara. even yixin din finish her pesto pasta...and she normally takes 2nd helpings in sch. hmmmm...service was alright. 'cept old man with bad attitude took wrong drink orders...poor chinese server was complaining a lil abt him to us. hahaha...quite hilarious.

muz remember to take nice photos of the restaurant nxt time. keep thinking abt photographing the food tt i forgot abt the place. but quite sia suay...esp when it's at night and i have to take photos with flash. bahh...end of this entry.
